Recent menu launches bring new flavors and choices to guests across the Americas.
A great menu idea can begin anywhere. It can start with a familiar favorite reimagined for a new occasion, a flavor that resonates in a local market or a meal designed around a specific guest preference. It can even come from behind the counter. Just ask Mark!
Recent launches in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico show that approach in action, giving guests a new reason to visit Subway.
United States: Hot Honey Lineup
After Hot Honey became a fan favorite last year, Subway brought it back with something new, a partnership with Doritos® and a new limited-time lineup: Doritos® Hot Honey Nachos, the Hot Honey Italian and the Hot Honey Turkey Italiano.
“Great Hot Honey is all about balance. You want enough heat to wake up the flavor, followed by a touch of sweetness that keeps you coming back for another bite,” said Chef Paul Fabre, SVP of Culinary Innovation.
In Puerto Rico, Subway expanded its menu with three new Pasta Creations, including Carbonara, Chicken Rosé and Chicken Herbs & Garlic, bringing guests a new way to enjoy Subway flavors beyond the traditional sandwich.
“Puerto Rico is the pioneering market for Subway pasta, and our customers have made it clear: they want more,” said Yoelis Rosario-Chaves, Senior Regional Marketing Director for Subway Puerto Rico.
For years, Canadians have debated one simple question: is a hot dog a sandwich? This summer, Subway Canada officially settled it. The answer is yes.
The SubDog is a footlong hot dog built as a fully customizable Subway sandwich. Made with a close to half-pound Schneider’s all-beef hot dog, the SubDog is served on guests’ choice of Subway bread and can be finished with the toppings and sauces they prefer.
“With the SubDog, we’re not just joining the conversation, we’re settling it,” said Chef John Botelho, Culinary Manager at Subway Canada.
In Mexico, Subway introduced Golazos, a soccer ball-shaped sandwich with an embossed panel design, the first time in more than 60 years the brand moved beyond its iconic elongated shape.
The customizable Golazos lineup includes Chicken Milanese, BBQ Ribs and Ham and Cheese with Guacamole, plus a Champion’s Goal kids’ menu.
“Golazos were born in Mexico because we understand the relevance of soccer in the consumer’s daily life,” said Artemio Garza, President for Latin America and the Caribbean at Subway.
