Ilene Kobert
Chief Legal Officer
Ilene Kobert joined Subway in February 2020 as the Chief Legal Officer. She serves as general counsel and secretary to the company and is responsible for the foundational agreements that impact franchising, contracting, leasing and development for both domestic and international markets. During her time at Subway, she has realigned the legal department to be more efficient, dynamic and empowered.
A seasoned attorney who has held leadership positions in both private practice and in the corporate sector, Ilene brings expertise in both franchising and real estate to Subway. Prior to joining the company, Ilene was a shareholder at Greenburg Traurig, LLP, in its Miami office and an experienced legal advisor r at Burger King Corporation.
Ilene received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and her Juris Doctor degree from University of Miami. She is a member of the State Bar of Florida, serves on the advisory board of The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and is a board member of the Subway Cares Foundation.
