Donagh Herlihy
Chief Digital & Information Officer
Donagh Herlihy joined Subway in May 2021 as the Chief Digital and Innovation Officer. In his role, Donagh oversees the company’s global technology team, including leading key initiatives that deliver modern and efficient platforms to Subway’s franchisees and guests.
Donagh has more than 20 years of experience leading global digital and e-commerce teams in the food, retail and restaurant industries. He previously held CIO positions at He previously held CIO positions at Bloomin’ Brands, Avon Products, Wrigley and Duracell. In addition to creating strong, functional technology teams that drive growth, Donagh’s expertise includes digital innovation and strategy, guest-facing technology and international growth.
Donagh received his undergraduate degree from the Dublin Institute of Technology, his master’s degree from Trinity College Dublin and completed University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Executive Program.
Outside of his role at Subway, Donagh is an active angel investor in local technology startups and works with Teach for America, chairing the organization’s central Florida board.
