Dave Blankenship
Chief Information Officer
Dave Blankenship is the Chief Information Officer (CIO), responsible for overseeing the company’s global technology team, including key initiatives that deliver modern and efficient platforms for Subway’s franchisees and guests. Dave previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) through December 2024.
Since joining the organization in August 2020, Dave has been instrumental in advancing Subway's technology pipeline, working closely with franchisees to deliver high-performing technology solutions to help improve profitability and drive operational excellence in restaurants.
Dave has more than 30 years of experience in creating and managing large scale applications and IT infrastructures. Prior to joining Subway, Dave spent more than a decade with Marriott International where he held various positions supporting IT and enterprise applications. In addition to creating strong, functional technology teams that drive growth, Dave’s expertise includes planning and developing digital innovation and guest-facing technology.
Dave received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
