Subway® restaurants announced Douglas Fry has joined the company as Country Director of Canada. In his role, Fry is responsible for driving brand growth, increasing profit and market share, and providing leadership through strategic planning, innovation, and business improvement. Fry is replacing Cristina Wells, who was recently named to Subway's marketing team as the Vice President, U.S. Strategy and Planning.
Fry brings more than 20 years of restaurant and consumer packaged goods experience to Subway, previously holding senior leadership positions at McDonald's Canada, Recipe and Kraft Heinz. His expertise includes sales, marketing, strategy, guest experience, supply chain, and operational leadership.

There are 2,900 Subway restaurants in Canada, which are all owned and operated by franchisees.
